Bible reading and study is the foundation of our home school. We will begin and end each day with Bible stories, verses, songs and prayers. This year we will be memorizing one Bible verse each week. We will learn one verse for each letter of the alphabet plus the 10 Commandments. Some of the verses are listed as ABC verses as well as commandments; this is because we feel that they deserve extra special attention, as they are the law of God. Many have also been paraphrased to make memorization easier. Below is a compilation of the ones we have scheduled:

A: As for God, His way is perfect. Psalm 18:30

B: Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved. Acts 16:31

C: Commit your way to the Lord. Psalm 37:5

D: Delight yourself in the Lord. Psalm 37:4

E: Every good and perfect gift is from above. James 1:17

F: For with God nothing is impossible. Luke 1:37

G: Glory to God in the highest. Luke 1:14

T: The heavens declare the glory of God. Psalm 19:1

U: Understanding is a fountain of life to those who have it. Proverbs 16:22

V: Victory rests with the Lord. Proverbs 21:31

Z: Zealous always for the fear of the Lord. Proverbs 23:17
